Borage is an ancient medicinal herb. It was believed that eating the flowers would make a person brave. The flowers are fun to eat, having a crispy sweet cucumber flavor! They are great to add to salads, especially with their deep blue star shape.  Reseeds easily, so be sure to eat plenty of flowers! Currently borage seed oil is used to treat premenstrual complaints and many skin problems.

 Plant this in full sun, and keep on the dry side. Usually once you have one plant you have plenty.
