This is a really vigorous groundcover, fast growing and attractive even under the most adverse conditions.  Deep green leaves on round stems root as they grow, creating a thick green shiny carpet.

 

Use Turkish speedwell like a viororous thyme, creating large masses of groundcover. The flowers are small but numerous, with lovely deep cobalt blue colors. Grow in hot dry conditions, in well drained soil. Once established, you could water as little as twice per month.
